PlantMap3D: ModCam

PlantMap3D is a AI-driven plant mapping system, powered by ModCam, a modular camera system that deploys models trained by the National Agricultural Image Repository (AgIR) for phenotyping in breeding and plant science research, as well as on-farm mapping and plant ID. ModCam collects images for species mapping and biomass estimation and can be customized for use by farmers, researchers, and other stakeholders.

BenchBot

BenchBot is an automated imaging platform that fuels the National Agricultural Image Repository (AgIR) by capturing high-resolution plant images at scale. BenchBot delivers a high-throughput, cost-effective way to generate pre-labeled, AI-ready datasets. These flow directly into computer vision pipelines for processing and semi-automatic annotation, streamlining the creation of customizable machine learning models for real-world applications.

Ag Image Repo

AgIR is an open-source agricultural image repository designed to support the next generation of AI-powered farming tools. With over 50 terabytes of annotated images of weeds, cover crops, and cash crops collected across diverse U.S. farming systems, AgIR provides researchers and developers with the data needed to create smarter, more adaptable agricultural technologies built for the challenges facing modern farming.
